This is a very common type, this can be used with many LCD monitors and other equipment that requires 12 Volts DC and up to 5A. 60 Watts. This will not fit my Motorola SB6180 cable modem, but the nearly identical model that is 4.16A output does. So keep that in mind, that one has a slightly larger hole in the center of the coaxial power plug than this model. See my other listings. They sure do look the same however.
This has a 55″ DC cord with a very common coaxial power plug on it.
The black adapter measures 4-1/4″ x 2-1/2″ x 1-1/4″.
There is a convenient green light indicating power is on. So if something is not working, you can rule out power input by the green light.
There is a large toroid on the cord for emi control. Pretty slick.
This is a very sturdy and high quality unit, I have seen very few failures of these. They work for years and years
The plug is 5.5mm OD and 2.1 MM ID (approximate), corresponding to the Radio Shack Adaptaplug Type M.
Negative voltage on the outside, the barrel. Positive on the center. This is the most common type plug. See the picture for details.
This comes with a 115VAC IEC style U.S. standard power cord.
These are very sturdy and are used on many types of equipment.
